Warmest thanks to Lawrence for getting the blog up and running again, and also to everyone who is actively looking around for a replacement conductor. Thank you too, Elspeth for your approach to Stephen Page. Shame that he is busy on Thursday evenings, as, I suspect, many professional musicians are.
I have spoke to Judy again but she is quite clear that she doesn't want to continue. She feel that now she's retired she would like to spend her spare time doing things other than music - quite understandable. Judy says that she wouldn't leave the orchestra in the lurch, but she did give us an initial deadline of Christmas, so we must redouble our efforts to come up with a solution to the problem of her successor. Do we know whether anyone has spoken to Stephen Pusey (head of music at Homewood School)? Someone put his name forward at the meeting we had in August.

P.S. One or two members still haven't paid their subs. - I'm sure they know who they are - happy to receive them next Thursday.
